Micca L. Donohoo, MS, RD, LDN, is a registered dietician with the Springfield Clinic Bariatric Surgery team and sees patients at Springfield Clinic Main Campus East.

Micca earned both her master's and bachelor's degrees in dietetics from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston. She has more than 20 years' experience in dietetics holding positions on the east coast and in the Midwest.

"I have always loved food, how it works in the body and helping others achieve their goals and feel confident doing it," says Micca. "I knew I wanted to be a dietitian since I was 16 but fell in love with bariatrics and a non-diet approach to weight loss later in my career."

Originally from central Illinois, Micca has had a working relationship with many Clinic providers throughout her career and is excited to become a part of the Clinic team.

"I am passionate about teaching patients how to eat intuitively and without rules, trusting their body and enjoying all foods again," says Micca.

In her free time, Micca enjoys travelling, baking, decorating and dancing. She loves to explore new towns and try new local cocktails and craft beers.
