Megan Kane, APRN, CNP, seeing Women's Health patients primarily at Springfield Clinic 1st - 900 Building, Megan collaborates with Dr. Kara Mccoy, Dr. Leslie Dignan-Moore, Dr. Jillian Henry and Dr. Amanda O’Brien.
Megan earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from St. John’s College of Nursing in Springfield, Ill., and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill. She has nearly 20 years of nursing experience in central Illinois.
Before joining Springfield Clinic, Megan had more than 18 years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse in the Springfield area. She has lived in central Illinois her entire life and is excited to join the Springfield Clinic community. “I want to use my experience to empower and educate women throughout each chapter of their life,” she says.
Megan developed a passion for caring for patients who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss. She participates in the local “SHARE” chapter in Springfield that aims to provide support to families who have experienced the loss of a child through pregnancy loss, stillbirth or in the first few months of life. “Pregnancy and infant loss have been a taboo topic, yet it affects one in four women, those numbers are significant and require support and understanding,” she says.
In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with her children, staying active in the gym and going on a beach vacation whenever possible.
