Joanne Hamilton, APRN, CNP, provides care with the Springfield Clinic Family Medicine team at Springfield Clinic Wabash. She collaborates with Dr. Joseph Standard.

Joanne earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing degrees from Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. She has 10 years of nursing experience and most recently served as an RN at Springfield Clinic since 2016.

Joanne's family, particularly her sister, encouraged her to consider a career in medicine. "I took a CNA course and fell in love with the field," says Joanne. "I continued my education so I could do more for my patients and community."

Joanne particularly had an interest in providing family medicine care in central Illinois. "I realized I had a unique opportunity to work with a great physician and with patients I began helping and caring for as a nurse," she says. 

When she's not working, Joanne loves spending time with her family and watching her children's sports. She also enjoys reading a good book or binge watching a tv series or movies.
