About This Provider

Jeffrey Goldstein, MD, is a part of the Springfield Clinic's Cardiology Department and sees patients in Bloomington and Havana.

Prior to joining Springfield Clinic, Dr. Goldstein provided cardiovascular care in central Illinois for more than 20 years.
Dr. Goldstein earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University and completed his residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He completed fellowships in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo.
Dr. Goldstein’s father served as his inspiration to become a physician. “Wherever we went, we would run into one of his patients who had something nice to say about how he had taken care of them,” he says.
His care is always focused on addressing very serious issues with the patient as a team. “I try to make complex heart conditions easy for my patients to understand, and then we can work through their care together to get them to a place where they are much happier and healthier.”
Most importantly, Dr. Goldstein enjoys the difference he gets to make in his patient’s lives. “I meet many of my patients at inconvenient times for them when they are suffering from a cardiac condition.  Hopefully my intervention improves or cures their condition” he says. “When they come back to see me in clinic the appreciation that they have is overwhelming and it makes it all worth it.”
In his free time, Dr. Goldstein enjoys spending time outdoors including spending time on his farm, hunting and traveling to the mountains of Colorado.
