About This Provider

Bryan Kellenberger, MD, is with Springfield Clinic’s Family Medicine Department seeing patients at Springfield Clinic Sherman. He also provides care for bariatric patients at our Bariatric Weight Loss Center at Springfield Clinic Main Campus East.

Dr. Kellenberger completed both his medical degree and residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield. Prior to joining Springfield Clinic in 2015, he provided care in Tremont, Ill., with Tremont Medical Clinic.

After a career in computer programming, at age 24, he decided he wanted to become a doctor.

“I liked computers, but I didn’t care about them,” says Dr. Kellenberger. “I found that if I was going to devote my life to something, it needed to be something I passionately cared about. With helping patients, I realized I do care about what happens to them, and I couldn’t do that with computers.”

Dr. Kellenberger’s scope of practice ranges from the first days of life to the last and is particularly drawn to helping people stay healthy through preventive care.

“What drew me to family medicine was that I liked to deal with people, not just medical cases,” says Dr. Kellenberger. “I get to work with an entire person and their family over the entirety of their life.”

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, practicing photography and bicycling.
