Aneesa Gaffar, MD, provides care with Springfield Clinic's Radiology Department.

"I am a first generation doctor. However, I accompanied family members to their doctor visits and saw the difference doctors make in their patients' lives," she says. 

Dr. Gaffar specializes in interventional radiology focusing on utilizing the latest technology to perform minimally invasive procedures to help patients.

Dr. Gaffar earned her medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y. She also completed her residency in diagnostic radiology at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, a fellowship in independent interventional radiology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Scottsdale, Ariz., and an advanced fellowship at Rush Medical College in Chicago.

In her free time, Dr. Gaffar is very passionate about animal rescue services and enjoys traveling and trying new cuisines.
