Alissa Howard, APRN, CNP, provides care with the Springfield Clinic Urgent Care team.

Alissa earned her Master of Science of Nursing from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College in St. Louis. She has nearly 17 years of health care experience, including the last seven as a nurse practitioner for Midwest Emergency Department Specialists.

"I have always wanted to be around people and care for them," says Alissa. "This passion is what led me to a career in nursing."

Born and raised in central Illinois, Alissa is excited to join Springfield Clinic and help provide care throughout central Illinois.

In her free time, Alissa enjoys spending time with her family, including traveling with her husband and sons and spending time at the football field where her husband serves as a football coach. She can also be found most weekends on her family's farm.
