Springfield Clinic's Cancer Prevention and Genetics focuses on the prevention of cancer from a lifestyle perspective and identifies people at high risk for hereditary cancers related to genetic mutations.
Our services include a comprehensive examination focusing on cancer screening and cancer prevention education. We order cancer screenings such as mammograms and breast MRI as needed. We perform genetic risk assessments based on personal and family history and genetic testing for hereditary cancer syndromes (such as hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndrome and lynch syndrome) for people who meet the National Cancer Comprehensive Network Guidelines and for whom genetic testing could direct their cancer treatment.
